O Foyer de Charité está localizado em Mendes, no interior do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, no meio de uma natureza abundante, a 500 metros de altitude num clima considerado como o quarto melhor do mundo. É um oásis de serenidade e paz, um lugar para se sentir bem à vontade e longe das preocupações do dia-a-dia.
O Foyer de Charité é, assim, um lugar preparado para oferecer um espaço de silêncio e de contemplação para todos aqueles que buscam aprofundar ou repensar a suas orientações de vida à luz da fé cristã.
Nossa missão consiste em oferecer retiros espirituais para todos. O Retiro Fundamental de 5 dias de silêncio completo com ensinamentos dos fundamentos da fé católica, e Retiros de Fim de Semana de 2 dias com temas diversificados. Os retiros são destinados às pessoas adultas, a partir de 18 anos, de todos os horizontes, e que desejam descobrir o Amor de Deus ou aprofundar a sua intimidade com Ele.

A spiritual retreat is a break for the heart and the mind. It creates a breathing space for:
- Relaxing, resting and finding comfort in the middle of our very busy lives;
- Meeting with God in silence, reading his Word and rekindling the fire of our faith;
- Reflecting on the meaning of our existence, taking a step back before making important choices;
- Exploring the key questions of life and gaining a better understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith.
