Le Foyer de Charité de Bonjongo se situe au sommet d’une collinette au flanc est du Mont Cameroun à 4 degrés 2’ nord de l’équateur et à 9 degrés 3’ est, à une altitude de 500 mètres pile. Elle donne une rare vision à la fois sur la mer atlantique et le sommet du mont Cameroun. La forêt dense environnante crée une atmosphère naturelle de calme et de paix propice pour la prière et la méditation pour tous ceux qui viennent se ressourcer spirituellement, qu’ils partagent ou non la foi chrétienne. Nous proposons des retraites de 6 jours pour tous, des week-ends pour couples et quelques semaines pour jeunes et enfants. Sous la responsabilité du Père Jude Thaddeus Mbi Akem, 10 membres de Foyer vivent ici en communauté. Ils se consacrent à la prière et à l’accueil des retraitants.

Why go on spiritual retreat ?
Whatever the reasons, the spiritual retreat is a breathing space in a setting that inspires inner reflection. The setting, silence and pace of the retreat give the participants the freedom to open up to themselves and to God.

- Meeting with God in silence, reading his Word and rekindling the fire of our faith;
- Reflecting on the meaning of our existence, taking a step back before making important choices;
- Exploring the key questions of life and gaining a better understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith.
