Né en 1973, il est prêtre du diocèse de Valence. Après des études d'histoire et de sciences politiques, il a étudié au Séminaire français de Rome. Docteur en sciences ecclésiastiques orientales de l'Institut pontifical oriental (PIO), où il a soutenu sa thèse sur l'anthropologie chez Olivier Clément, il enseigne actuellement à l'Université catholique de Lyon.
